Last week, Lipik hosted a five-day educational program for cultural heritage interpreters, organized by the City of Lipik. The training took place at the Lipik Thermal Heritage Interpretation Center – Villa Dobre vode, and gathered participants aiming to acquire new knowledge and enhance their interpretive guiding skills.
Under the guidance of expert Ivana Zrilić, a licensed trainer of Interpret Europe, interpretive guide, and writer, participants adopted innovative methods and techniques for presenting cultural heritage through theoretical and practical workshops. The education enabled them to convey the rich heritage of Lipik and its surroundings in an interesting and interactive way.
The main goal of the training was to empower interpreters in their ability to inspire visitors and encourage them to a deeper understanding of cultural and natural heritage. The program was conducted within the Interpret Europe network, which promotes high standards in heritage interpretation at the European level. Initiatives like these significantly contribute to the preservation and promotion of cultural heritage and improve the region’s tourist offer.
Participants expressed great satisfaction with the organization and quality of the program and emphasized that they will apply the acquired knowledge in their future work. Their contribution will enhance the visitor experience and improve the understanding of cultural values. In addition, they had the opportunity to visit the permanent exhibition at the Lipik Thermal Heritage Interpretation Center – Villa Dobre vode.
This education is another indicator of the City of Lipik’s commitment to preserving and promoting cultural heritage and improving the tourist offer through education and professional development of participants.
